Day of the Wadden Sea

Hip, hip, hooray! Every year we celebrate the anniversary of the Wadden Sea. In 2025, it will be 16 years since UNESCO declared this beautiful area a World Heritage Site. Traditionally, we celebrate this on the last Saturday of June during the Day of the Wadden Sea. On 28 June, we will therefore reflect on how special this area is. We do this by having breakfast on the Wadden dike, which is organised in many places in the Wadden area. No birthday without a festive birthday breakfast!
